Body Systems and Homeostasis

Your body is built from billions of tiny cells. Cells team up to form tissues, tissues form organs, and organs work together as body systems. Each system has a clear job, but the systems never work alone. Right now, while you read this sentence, your nervous system is sending signals to your eye muscles, your circulatory system is delivering oxygen to your brain, and your respiratory system is bringing in fresh air. All of this is happening to keep your body in a steady, healthy state called homeostasis.
