Grade 5 · Writing · Lesson 40

Set goals for next level

You have done a LOT this year as a writer. Personal narratives, research reports, opinion pieces, peer feedback, a celebration, a portfolio. Setting GOALS for next level is how you take all that growth and turn it into a plan: WHAT do I want to keep doing, and WHAT do I want to get better at? A real goal is not a wish ("I want to be a better writer") — it is SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ACTION-ORIENTED, and has a TIMELINE.
