Migration and Global Connections

A family in Syria packs two suitcases and boards a bus that will not stop until it reaches Germany. A young engineer in Bengaluru accepts a job offer in California. A grandmother in the Philippines flies to Toronto to live with her grandchildren. A farming family in the Sahel walks for days to escape a years-long drought. Every year millions of people MOVE — across cities, across countries, across oceans. This movement is called MIGRATION, and it is one of the most powerful forces shaping our world today.
