Energy Transfer: Heat, Light, Sound

Energy does not stay in one place — it moves. Heat warms a cold spoon left in soup, sunlight reaches us across millions of kilometers (about 0.62 miles per km) of empty space, and the sound of a friend\'s voice travels across the room to your ear. Each kind of energy travels in its own way.
