Compare Climates and Ecosystems

Every place on Earth has a climate — the long-term pattern of weather conditions in that area. Climate is not the same as weather. Weather tells you what is happening outside today; climate tells you what conditions are typical over many years. Climate shapes the type of ecosystem that can survive in a region.
