Write About an Act of Kindness

You do not need to do something huge to show kindness. Holding a door, sharing a snack, or simply noticing someone who looks left out — these small acts can change someone's whole day. And when you write about them, you keep that kindness alive on the page.

What this lesson teaches

1Write a paragraph about an act of kindness
2Open with an "I..." sentence that names who was helped and what was noticed
3Describe a specific action using a "by..." sentence with a strong action verb
4Explain the effect of the kindness with an "It made... feel..." sentence
5Choose precise feeling words such as welcomed, relieved, or included
