Ancient Civilizations

Thousands of years before you were born, brilliant people built some of the world's greatest cities, invented writing, created governments, and engineered marvels that still amaze us today. These groups are called civilizations — advanced societies with organized governments, cities, laws, and culture. Three of the most important ancient civilizations were Egypt, Greece, and Rome.
