Mini Lesson

Imagine you found a dollar on the ground and no one was watching. What would you do? Being fair and honest means choosing to do the right thing — even when no one else would know if you did not.

What is fairness?

  • Fairness means treating people equally and giving everyone what they need.
  • It means following the rules and making sure everyone gets a turn.
  • Example: sharing the last piece of paper with a friend who has none.
  • Fair does not always mean everyone gets exactly the same — it means everyone gets what they need.

What is honesty?

  • Honesty means telling the truth, even when it is difficult or embarrassing.
  • It also means not taking credit for something you did not do.
  • Example: "I accidentally broke it. I am sorry — I should have told you sooner."

Why do fairness and honesty matter?

  • People trust you more when they know you are fair and honest.
  • Honesty keeps relationships strong — lies damage them.
  • Fairness makes sure everyone feels valued and respected.
