Mini Lesson

Confidence is the feeling that you are able to do something. The more you practice and complete tasks, the more confident you become!

What is confidence?

  • Confidence is believing in your own ability to do something.
  • Example: Finishing a puzzle makes you feel confident you can do the next one.
  • Confidence grows with practice and effort — it is not something you are born with.

How do tasks build confidence?

  • Each time you complete a task, your brain learns: I can do this!
  • Small tasks lead to small wins, which grow into greater confidence.
  • Even hard tasks, when finished, make you feel proud and capable.

  • Example: I feel confident when I read aloud because I have practiced a lot.
