Have you ever wondered how some apps seem to know exactly what you're asking? Some special computer tools can read your question and write back an answer — almost like chatting with a very clever helper!

What is an AI tool?

  • An AI tool is a computer program that uses artificial intelligence to understand questions and give helpful answers.
  • Example: ChatGPT — you type a question and it types back an answer in plain words.
  • Other AI tools include voice assistants like Siri and Alexa — you speak a question and they answer out loud.

How is ChatGPT different from a regular search?

  • A search engine shows you a list of web pages to look through.
  • ChatGPT reads your question and writes a full answer just for you — no links to click.

Not every tool is an AI tool

  • A calculator follows set rules — it cannot understand a question in words.
  • A clock app just shows the time — it cannot have a conversation.
  • AI tools are special because they can understand language and respond to it.
