Mini Lesson
Everyone makes mistakes. A mistake means something did not go the way you wanted. It does not mean you are bad or that you should quit.
What is a mistake?
- A mistake is something you say or do wrong by accident.
- You might spill, forget, write the wrong answer, or choose the wrong thing.
- Mistakes happen while people are learning.
What can I say after a mistake?
- Say: I made a mistake. That is honest.
- Say: I can try again. That shows courage.
- Say: I can ask for help. That helps you keep learning.
What do mistakes teach us?
- Mistakes show us what to fix next.
- They help our brains grow when we practice again.
- Trying again is more important than being perfect.
